Dual-Band Branch Line Coupler using CRLH Transmission Lines
A branch-line coupler (BLC) working at two arbitrary frequencies using CRLH transmission lines (TLs) is presented. It is demonstrated that the two operating frequencies can be obtained by tuning the phase slope of the different line sections. A prototype is demonstrated using only microstrip technology.
متن کاملDesign of a Broadband Band-Pass Filter with Notch-Band Using New Models of Coupled Transmission Lines
We intend to design a broadband band-pass filter with notch-band, which uses coupled transmission lines in the structure, using new models of coupled transmission lines. In order to realize and present the new model, first, previous models will be simulated in the ADS program. Then, according to the change of their equations and consequently change of basic parameters of these models, optimizat...
متن کاملA Compact Dual-band Power Divider Using Planar Artificial Transmission Lines for Gsm/dcs Applications
Abstract—A compact dual-band power divider for GSM/DCS applications is proposed in this letter. Novel planar artificial transmission lines are applied to miniaturize the power divider and achieve wideband response. The proposed dual-band power divider is about 37% of conventional one. The design principle, simulated and measured results are all discussed. The measured results show that good per...
متن کاملDegenerate band edge resonances in periodic silicon ridge waveguides.
We experimentally demonstrate degenerate band edge resonances in periodic Si ridge waveguides that are compatible with carrier injection modulation for active electro-optical devices. The resonant cavities are designed using a combination of the plane-wave expansion method and the finite difference time domain technique. Measured and simulated quality factors of the first band edge resonances s...
متن کاملFrozen light in photonic crystals with degenerate band edge.
Consider a plane monochromatic wave incident on a semi-infinite periodic structure. What happens if the normal component of the transmitted wave group velocity vanishes? At first sight, zero normal component of the transmitted wave group velocity simply implies total reflection of the incident wave. But we demonstrate that total reflection is not the only possible outcome. Instead, the transmit...
